In 2011, the Iowa Legislature established a task force of legislators and professionals to develop a plan to prevent child sexual abuse in Iowa. The group discussed improvements to be made in laws and school policies to protect children, and submitted a final report with recommendations. PCA Iowa led this broad-based group of experts and successfully advocated for legislation that places greater responsibility on adults to protect children.
