In the event Prevent Child Abuse Iowa (PCAI) is unable to hold the event for any reason, including the occurrence of a Force Majeure Event, PCAI shall have the option of choosing an alternate date to hold the event or cancel the event. If the event is rescheduled or cancelled, PCAI shall be entitled to retain any and all fees, payments and donations received related to or arising from the event. PCAI shall not be liable to any costs, expenses or damages suffered by others arising out of the rescheduling or cancelation of the event. A “Force Majeure Event” means any of the following events: (1) acts of God, (2) floods, fires, earthquakes, explosions, or other natural disasters; (3) war, invasions, hostilities (whether war is declared or not), terrorist threats or acts, riots or other civil unrest; (4) governmental authority, proclamations, orders, laws, actions, or requests; (5) embargoes or blockades; (6) epidemics, pandemics, or other national or regional public health emergencies; (7) strikes, labor stoppages or slowdowns, or other industrial disturbances; (8) shortages of supplies, adequate power, or transportation facilities; and (9) other events beyond the control of PCAI.
