Prairie Meadows grant funds will prioritize sexual abuse prevention

Prevent Child Abuse Iowa is thrilled to be the recipient of a Prairie Meadows Community Betterment Grant for $15,000. The funds will be used to purchase curricula that will increase capacity in Iowa to protect children from sexual abuse.

“Comprehensive sexual abuse prevention has been a longstanding priority of PCA Iowa,” said Greg Bellville, Executive Director. “We’re excited to see Prairie Meadow’s commitment to protecting Iowa’s children from sexual abuse.”

Along with purchasing curricula, PCA Iowa plans to offer at least five train-the-facilitator workshops in the next year that will cover a variety of child- and adult-focused programs that teach body safety, communication strategies, and ways to strengthen policies at child-serving organizations.
