After decades of serving Iowa children and families, Prevent Child Abuse Iowa will conclude its current operations on June 30, 2026.
PCA staff positions and office operations will end at that time.
For the past several months, Prevent Child Abuse Iowa and Iowa ACEs 360 have been working together to create a path forward for this work. While legal and operational paperwork is still being finalized, Iowa ACEs 360 is expected to carry forward PCA’s mission, partnerships, and prevention efforts.
This planning process began in fall 2025 and reflects a shared commitment to ensuring prevention work continues during a period of significant change across Iowa’s nonprofit and prevention landscape.
Preventing child abuse, reducing trauma, and supporting the conditions that help families thrive remain central to this work.
We are deeply grateful to the communities, Prevention Councils, partners, supporters, and advocates who have shaped this work for decades.
